Worms

Worms!

When I was 5 I thought that worms were awesome so I made a house for some. Back then I didn't know that worms die in water. I made a house for them. A bucket of water with leaves in it. So I got a bunch worms from the compost bin and put them in the water thinking they would like it.

The next day I went out to check on them. "NOOOO!! The worms died!!" Then I realised that water kills them so put them in the sandpit, but that just made it worse!

Athletics

On Friday we had athletics. First we did long jump.
 3,2,1 go. I sprinted and jumped. WOOSH! I didn't
get a place this time. When we were in line there
was a worm on the ground. It was very slow for a
worm. Then Luke stamped on it. Then soon we got told to move it away. Then after that we went over to shot put. I was in the group with Jorja and Ryan. I was second in the line. "Now its my turn."I say to myself. I aim, lean back and, Shoot. I got second place. Other people got 2 turns. No fair. That was today's athletics day.

My Sister Ruby

           My Sister Ruby

She has a nice big smile. Her hair is like golden silk. She has pale white skin. Her eyelashes sparkle like glitter. She has bright blue eyes that twinkle like starlight. She has rosy red cheeks and a ponytail tied up by a hair tie. She has a round shaped face. She has pinky lips. She has healthy white teeth. She has a little vein shooting across her nose.

This person has a big personality for playing with me. She sometimes shouts at me but usually she is pretty nice to me. She has a warm heart and i can tell  because she always wants to do things with me. She acts nicely. She also sometimes hits me and used to bite me. When she shouts she usually shouts “STOP IT!!” She cares a lot for me.

This person acts happily around other people. She usually gets excited around visitors. She is sometimes shy around people. She would never hurt other people. She sometimes acts a bit mean. She is kind, caring and gentle around other people.

My cross country race

I’m at the starting line, nervous and shaky. Maybe this could be the year. SMACK go the clappers and the race begins. Kids start running. “Ogh, ogh” people say as they tumble over. I’m running as fast as i can. I’ve got to catch up to Blake. Great I’ve caught up. Now i’m ahead of him. I’m coming up to the beginning of lap 2. “Hooray go William”I hear people shout as i pass the finish line.

Now i’m on to lap 2. As i come up to the jump pit Ben comes zooming past. Oh no now he’s way up ahead. My throat is on fire and my legs are dying. I go around the senior  playground. I race past the finish line onto lap 3. Air whooshes past as i go zooming. The teachers shout “ go go go, you're doing great!”

I speed to the senior playground. People start saying “ someone's behind  you, come on.” I look back. Its Blake. But as i look back I realise i’m at finish line already. Mrs letting gives me a stick. Hooray,I got third place. It's not first but it's a good place to come. That was my cross country.

The moon report

     pixel-speech-bubble (1).gifman_in_the_moon_by_pear_pear-d56txq0.jpg

The moon is the earth’s satellite. It is bright at night. It is the fifth largest moon in the solar system.

The moon is like earth. It orbits. The moon orbits earth, we orbit the sun. The orbits make something called moon phases. Because the moon orbits us we can only see half of it.

The moon has 8 phases. Crescent, gibbous, quarters, new moon and full moon. These are made when the moon orbits earth. The sun reflects light onto the moon and when it does that it creates moon phases.

The earth revolves around the sun and the moon orbits around us. Our sun does not orbit anything. Lots of other planets from our solar system orbit the sun.

Neil Armstrong was the first person to walk on the moon. Sadly he died on August 25 2012 at the age of 82. The second person to walk on the moon was Buzz Aldrin. Luckily he is still alive in 2016 at the age of 86. The third person to walk on the moon was Pete Conrad. Sadley he died at the age of 69 on the 8 of july 1999 in a motorbike crash.

The moon is an interesting place. The moon will disappear from us in 2050 as it got hit by an asteroid. The maori name for the moon Te Marama.
